As the year comes to an end it's always good to reflect on the highs and lows of the year. It's fitting that we remember Hanchi Roger Payne Sensei who passed away in November. Sensei was someone who I considered to be a friend and mentor. He represents the essence of budo and the dedication for excellence we all strive for in life.
